World History 10 is a mandatory core class required for graduation. The course work strictly adheres to both national and California state standards and frameworks. Students explore various aspects of World History aiming for critical thinking and high levels of learning. The course curriculum begins with reviewing early World history focusing on the development of modern political thought. Students then examine the Industrial Revolution and Expansion focusing on global change and effects of imperialism. Students go on to explore the causes and effects of both World Wars, as well as international developments in the post World War II era. The curriculum examines post-war developments on a regional basis as well as well as exploring global economies, communications, technology and the growing interconnectedness of the modern world. » read more...

United States History 11 is a mandatory core class required for graduation. The course work strictly adheres to both national and California state standards and frameworks. Students explore various aspects of U.S. history aiming for critical thinking and high levels of learning. The course curriculum begins with reviewing early American history focusing on the Constitution and the development of early American political and social thought. Students then examine the Industrial Revolution and the U.S. as a world power in the late 1800's. Students go on to explore both World Wars, the Roaring 20's, as well as the Great Depression. The curriculum then examines the boom of the 1950's, Civil Rights, the Vietnam War, and many other key domestic and foreign issues leading to today. » read more...

Economics 12 is a mandatory core class required for graduation. The course work strictly adheres to both national and California state standards and frameworks. Students explore various aspects of Economics aiming for critical thinking and high levels of learning. The course curriculum begins with an introduction to Economics focusing on elements of economic systems and microeconomics. Students then examine the free enterprise and elements of macroeconomics. Students go on to explore the government and the economy including banking, the federal reserve and associated economic challenges. The curriculum then examines international economics including different economic systems, developing countries and international trade. » read more...
