You might already know California school budgets are reduced this year. If you have the money, but not the time .....We have asked for some items but we would love to have, ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE SIMILAR EQUIPMENT AT YOUR WORK (we would love to list you as a sponsor!):
$ ALMOST ALWAYS, ALL CLASSROOMS- Hand Sanitizer and Tissues for flu and cold season, Paper towels, magazines for art class and daily reading sessions, pencils and pens, empty ink cartridges (we can recycle for supplies and cash for a school)
$ $ Bigger Budget- Your old computers when you upgrade (for students without computers) [We can wipe the info and files off for you]
$ $ $ $ If you win a lotto/ get an inheritance/fall into $$$$- Bookcases for some of our classrooms, OR .........

If you think you might be able to help, check with OUR teachers (some have wish lists specifically for their curriculum) for the classes your student is taking.
Examples: If you have free time during the weekdays, we occasionally have a need for drivers* for field trips; If you work for a company which uses high tech devices or applied subjects like science or math, see if a teacher might organize a field trip.

But the rules say......
Drivers must have district clearance from ON FILE in order to drive for school functions, if they will be transporting students who are NOT in their immediate family. This is for insurance purposes and legal reasons. SAFETY is NO ACCIDENT, and safety starts with the condition of vehicles transporting our most precious cargo. Weeks before the trip, Please come to the office to pick up a checklist form which verifies your clearance elligibility with the school and district. A staff member (usually the principal) must inspect the insurance cards and vehicle itself, no less than two days BEFORE the intended trip to allow for possible repairs.
